Since Tony Tilford
started photographing Coloured
Canaries there have been many
changes in the rules governing
this branch of birdkeeping. Over
the last half century, the quality
of birds has changed as birdkeepers
have striven to meet the rising
standards. New mutations have
been developed and so has the
nomenclature as the hobby has
spread across Europe and other
parts of the world.
This small gallery
of Coloured Canaries is made up
of pictures of show winners from
European National and International
bird competitions and show the
highest quality birds as judged
to the accepted international
standards.
