Following on from
photographing birds in flight
other animals such as bats and
flying squirrels became the next
target. Both of these animals
needed baiting or finding a regular
location where they occurred to
make it all possible. Bats can
often be attracted to moths coming
to a ultra-violet lamp during
the night and flying squirrels
are attracted like a magnet to
peanut butter.
Positioning the
bait to attract the animal to
fly in front of the camera and
detecting by simple light beams
can produce startling results.
